Illusions. And we are distracted by this. Actually if we re-think, using the wisdom and not heart, life is an illusion. We live on this planet, tested by god by rules where reward and sin exist, to fulfill our `qualification' to be ranked in certain level in the promised day and promised land.
More rewarded you are, more higher your level. More sin you have, in hell you rot.
To prevent us get more reward, more illusions placed by god in this planet. Money, women, properties, alcoholic drinks, weeds.... All these are illusions. More illusions we involve, more sin we get.
Focus on good moral values that taught by Prophet Mohammed, Confucius, Kung Gu Tze, Guru Nanak, Moses, Jesus, Siddhata Gautama and many gurus are easily distracted by those illusions.
Up to us to face and adapt to those illusions. Important thing is armageddon is inevitable. Period.

I don't think some of the things there are distractions if you use it in the right way.
Money:- Use it for charity
Women:- Set a good example and teach here to be a good wife.
properties :- Use it to gain knowledge and do ibadah
Alcohol:- Use it to cure coughs and heal wound
i agree.. most of them used that in negative ways. like my first post said.
